A note on timing
The deep Sahara is travelled from October to April, and the Christmas and New Year weeks are the first to book up — domestic flights to the south are limited. If you have dates in mind, holding them costs nothing.
Questions
Is it safe to travel to Algeria?
The north, the M'Zab Valley and the organised Sahara routes are calm and very welcoming. We travel the deep desert only with permits and licensed guides. →
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities do. We prepare the invitation letter ($25) with any programme of at least 3 days that includes airport pickup and drop-off; if your programme includes the Sahara, the visa can instead be issued on arrival at Algiers airport through our $45 authorisation (the arrival stamp is a separate airport fee). And if your visa is refused, we refund everything you paid us.
Do I have to pay to hold my dates?
No. Your dates are held free for 72 hours while we confirm availability, permits and flights. A deposit — by bank transfer, card or PayPal — secures the trip only once you are happy.
Are the tours private?
Yes, every tour is private, on your own dates, with a licensed local guide. Our guides work in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, German, Russian.
Can the price change after I book?
No. The price we confirm in writing is locked — it does not rise for season, demand or exchange rate.
